How to Use

Three steps from raw data to finished output — no account required.

  1. 1

Add blocks to your message — header, markdown text, image or a button row — and edit their content.

  2. 2

Check the live preview tab to see the rendered Slack message as teammates will receive it.

  3. 3

Copy the JSON payload, or paste your Incoming Webhook URL and click Test Webhook to send it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the slack webhook builder.

An Incoming Webhook is a dedicated HTTPS URL Slack gives your workspace (via an app configuration) that accepts a JSON payload and posts it to a chosen channel. Paste that URL into the Test Webhook field to send your built message for real.

Header blocks (large bold titles), section blocks with mrkdwn text (bold, italic, inline code and links), image blocks and action rows with buttons — the building blocks of most alert, digest and notification messages.

Only when you explicitly click Test Webhook with your own webhook URL. Building and previewing is entirely local; the single network request goes from your browser directly to the Slack URL you provided — nothing is proxied or stored.

Slack mrkdwn uses single asterisks for bold and underscores for italics (not Markdown's double characters), and links use <https://url|label> syntax. The preview mirrors these rules so what you see closely matches what posts.
